Chhaya Kadam is my favorite! She’s at Cannes with not one but two films. I spoke with her about her character in both the films, how different Cannes is from people’s perception, the genius of Payal Kapadia and much more. The 77th annual Cannes Film Festival is a film festival taking place from 14 to 25 May 2024.American filmmaker and actress Greta Gerwig will serve as jury president for the main competition. French actress Camille Cottin will host the opening and closing ceremonies. All We Imagine as Light is an upcoming 2024 film written and directed by Payal Kapadia. It stars Kani Kusruti, Divya Prabha, Chhaya Kadam and Hridhu Haroon in the lead roles. The film was selected to compete for the Palme d’Or at the 77th Cannes Film Festival, where it is set to premiere on 23 May 2024.

Chhaya Kadam is an Indian actress who predominantly appears in Marathi and Hindi films.Her best works are starring in Nagraj Manjule films, Fandry (2013), Sairat (2016), and Jhund (2022), Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi (2022), Redu (2018), and Nude (2018). The last of these earned her the Maharashtra State Film Award for Best Supporting Actress. Kadam gained wider recognition for her roles in 2024 comedy-drama’s Laapataa Ladies and Madgaon Express.
