After making his debut with Y-Films romantic comedy Luv Ka The End (2011), he appeared in the comedy-drama Gippi (2013). In 2024, Shah earned recognition with the Netflix series Heeramandi. Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar is an Indian Hindi-language period drama television series created and directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The series is about the lives of tawaifs at the red-light district of Heera Mandi in Lahore during the Indian independence movement against the British Raj. It stars Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sanjeeda Sheikh and Sharmin Segal.
